God speaks to me through numbers, homeless people and drunk people.
A few weeks ago I was sitting at my desk and my God Voice (this is a feeling I get in my solar plexus area) asked me whether or not I was going to attend that night’s session of a microeconomics class I was taking.
Me: “Well, if the bus is on time and I make my train connection, then I guess I’ll make it.”
(Note: Never respond to your “God Voice” audibly in public. It’s not a good look for obvious reasons.)
God Voice: “That’s not a decision.”
Me: “If I make my connections, I should be able to get there.”
Still not fully committed to the cause, I left work and caught my bus.
I have been taking public transportation for over 25 years and what I am about to share with you has NEVER happened before or since.
Comfortably settled in my seat and thinking of nothing in particular, I am prepared for my otherwise routine evening commute. The bus travels four stops on and off-loading passengers when, out of the blue, the driver kills the engine, stands up and orders everyone off the bus.
ME: “What the heck?”
(The look I am sure I shared with the other 20, or so, passengers.)
DRIVER: “I’ve gotta go to the bathroom.”
ME: “Are you serious?”
When you gotta go, you gotta go. We off-loaded and waited patiently for his return.
God Voice: “You see…if you don’t make a decision, one will be made for you. Are you going to class?”
ME: “If I make my train connection, I’ll see if I can make it.”
(In hindsight, I realized I’m a littler denser than I once imagined.)
Still, no decision made.
We re-board and I finally make my way to Union Station and surprisingly make my connection. Getting settled in my seat, still not fully committed to making it to class, the Conductor announces over the PA system that this, the very train I AM sitting on, has experienced MAJOR mechanical problems and the engine has to be replaced.
AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
God Voice: “You never made a decision, so the decisions are being made for you!”
FAST FORWARD TWO WEEKS….
I am part of a prison ministry team who teaches power journaling to the incarcerated. This one particular weekend we were hosting a two-day workshop. At the end of day one we were beginning to teach the women how to bring their Heavenly thoughts to Earth. The exercise required that we assign zip codes to both locations. To Earth we assigned 20794 and to Heaven 77777 (sounds real heavenly, or so I thought). In the middle of teaching the workshop, Apostle Rene (talking about understanding her God voice) asked Eunice (she was assisting me at the time) to change the zip code for Heaven to 33333. I had no idea of the change until I turned to refer to the board a few minutes later. Thinking nothing of the change we finished the workshop and returned home.
Apostle Rene, Eunice and I all rode together to the workshop because I had placed my car in the shop that morning for a routine oil change and maintenance. They dropped me off that afternoon to pick up my car and I went in to pay and pick up my keys. I get the receipt and the amount due was $33.33! I have been getting my car serviced here for years and never have I paid $33.33. I paid, grabbed my keys and receipt and ran as quickly as I could to catch the ladies before they pulled off to show them the receipt.
The next day we returned to the prison for day two of the workshop. We shared the story with the ladies as an example of radical obedience and understanding how to operate within your “God Voice”. When you are in complete alignment with God’s will he “winks” at you like that. That was cool. Everyone was amazed and we were so grateful that God had given us a working example to share.
Always remember that God’s messages run much deeper than the surface.
That following Monday I went to work and shared the story with a few of my colleagues who follow Always Journal. We oohed, aah-ed, laughed and continued on with our day.
The next morning, Tuesday, I arrived a little earlier than usual, fixed a cup of coffee, did my usual round of good mornings and proceeded to return to my desk when my God voice instructed me to share the 33333 story with a co-worker.
ME: “Really God? You know we believe different things, right? I don’t feel like getting into the religion “thing” this morning. Can I just go to my desk please?”
God Voice: “Share the story!”
ME: “Hey Girl! Guess what happened to me this weekend. I do prison ministry…we had this Heaven/Earth/Zip Code exercise…we chose 77777…Apostle changed it to 33333….”
CO-WORKER: “GIRL…You just reminded me I have a bill to pay. GUESS HOW MUCH IT’S FOR? (Yes, there was screaming involved!) $333.33!”
Needless to say, I was done. You could have bought me for a penny!
After the initial shock, I returned to my desk and began to ask God what all of this was REALLY about. God never does anything to tickle the flesh and my flesh was pretty tickled.
I was led to Google 33333 and 3333 and this is what I found!
33,333 or 33:33
This number offers you a choice. The holy trinity is activated within the tetrahedron (3 sided pyramid)in your DNA structure. This number offers an opportunity to connect with highly evolved spiritual beings/masters/angels/Christ. The trinity is the holiness within all of your choices. Your body, mind, spirit in agreement with your Soul’s evolution. Within this number you are not allowed to straddle the razor blade fence of indecision. Connection with the wisdom of the Oversoul and seeing the sacredness in all of your choices no matter what the outcome. http://balancingmindbodysoul.wordpress.com/2011/08/29/the-meaning-of-master-numbers/
This entire month God was dealing with me on making firm decisions. He used “our” language of numbers to clearly relay His message to me! You think I got the message?
I now make firm decisions about EVERYTHING!
You see…paying attention to your life is much more exciting than reality T.V.
